Adidas Commander Lite TD

The adidas Commander Lite TD

Adidas Basketball Shoe

The adidas Commander Lite TD is the all new no frills basketball shoe from Adidas. Its main features are its lightweight feel and good ankle support. It doesn't have any high tech fancy features like a few of the others but this is reflected in its low cost. This article will give you a quick review on the style, comfort, weight, durability and shock absorption capabilities of this shoe.
Style
The style on the Adidas Commander  Lite TD is pretty stylish for its low price. It has a mid top design with a narrow lacing system which leads up to a padded collar and tongue, this gives it a sleek and stylish look. There are many perforations on the side which are there mainly for performance reasons but also to give it a modern look.
Comfort + Fit
A feel true to the width is something you'll get with this basketball shoe with some moderate arch support. Inside is a padded EVA midsole which is a spongy material inside making your feet feel nice and snug. This is next to an EVA sock liner which runs along the side of the foot providing some cushioning and padding which feels good. However there have been some points made that you should wear socks above the ankle as it can rub against your skin. So if you normally wear low cut socks consider buying some longer ones, if you normally do wear long socks then this shouldn't be a problem.
Weight
The weight of the Adidas Commader Lite TD is 12 ounces which is on the low side of the scale. The average weight on many basketball shoes is 15 ounces putting this quite a bit lighter. Having a light basketball shoe can be advantageous for many reasons but a few are faster acceleration, less stress on the foot when transitioning and an easier time jumping to either shoot or block shots.
Durability
This  The adidas Commander Lite TD basketball sneaker holds up okay in the durability sector. It has a small line of rubber going around the outside of the midsole to protect areas of the foot. However as you would expect with light basketball shoes more emphasis goes into how they feel and move rather than the rubber. This just means that there is no excess rubber on the base, which might hold you down while you try to move quickly.
Shock Absorption
The adidas Commander Lite TD  doesn't have any shock absorption units in the base of the heel but it does have a bouncy midsole in the centre and a rubber base. This makes it feel just fine when you're running or transitioning quickly, there are no problems here with this shoe.
